How do I apply?
Applying is simple, you can fill out an online application form on this website, visit any one of our branches or phone us and we’ll let you know the best way of applying. We’ll need you to supply two forms of ID, proof of address, and 3 months bank statements to get your application started.
How much can I borrow?
We loan from $100 to $1,000. However, not everyone needs or gets $1,000 – it’s always income dependent and everyone’s situation is different. If you visit one of our branches, we give you cash over the counter. Otherwise, the cash is put into your bank account.
How do I get the money?
If we approve your loan, you can come into one of our branches in Auckland or Hamilton and we’ll give you the cash right there and then. But if you can’t get into a branch, then we can transfer the cash into your bank account overnight or, for a small fee, during the same day.
How long does it take?
For your first loan, the process usually takes 2-3 hours depending on how busy we are when you apply. Once we’ve set you up as a customer, it’s even quicker – normally only 5-10 minutes to approve a new loan.
Do you do a credit check?
No – we don’t contact any credit agencies about you.
What if I’m self-employed?
If you get regular payments, then we might be able to help. However, most self-employed people don’t get regular payments from month to month, and this can sometimes make an approval difficult. But by all means come in and apply – we might still be able to help you.
Do you lend to people on a benefit?
Yes – the most important thing for us is that you have some sort of regular income. A benefit will normally qualify for this.
What fees will I pay?
This depends on the amount you borrow, the repayment dates/amounts, whether or not you miss any payments, etc. For more information on fees please click here.
Do I have to use my car or other assets for security?
No – our short term cash loans are unsecured. This means that we don’t ask about your assets and can’t repossess them. Our security comes from the fact that we provide a quick and efficient service that is valued by our customers, who will want to come back and use our service again.
Do you need to see my pay slips?
No – we ask to see your bank statements so we should be able to see your wages going into your bank account.
What if I get paid cash-in-hand?
Unfortunately, unless we can see some sort of a regular income going into your bank account, it is unlikely that we will be able to offer you a loan.
How do I pay you back?
Our loans are usually repaid over a six week period, by direct debit. So, if you get paid weekly, you would make six equal weekly payments – then it’s all gone!
How can I get another loan?
You can get a new loan as soon as your existing loan is repaid. You may also refinance an existing loan into a new loan - please speak to one of our team members to see if you qualify for this (conditions apply).
Can I borrow more next time?
The short answer is – “it depends”. Our cash loans are dependent on your income so we’ll take a fresh look at your finances each time you reapply for a loan. We take your regular income and outgoings into account as well as your payment history with us when looking at your new loan application. If you have a good credit history with us and your income & expenses are under control, then we might be able to increase the amount we can give you. However, if for example your income has dropped, then we may need to reduce the amount we can lend you, or we may not be able to lend to you at all on some occasions.
Do I have to keep using the same branch?
No, all our branches are connected, so you can take out a loan or make a payment at any branch.
Can I change my payment dates/amounts?
Yes – just call one of our branches and let us know you’d like to change your payments and we’ll do our best to help you. Please note that if you delay a payment, then additional interest/administration fees will apply.
What happens if I miss a payment?
A Dishonoured Payment Fee and Default Notice Fee may be charged if your payment dishonours. Additional interest and administration fees will also be charged. If you know you won't have enough money in your account to make a payment, please call us before 10 a.m. on the payment day, and you will avoid the Dishonoured Payment Fee and Default Notice Fee.
Will you send me to the debt collector?
We do not like sending our customers to a debt collector. If your circumstances have changed and you are having difficulty making your regular loan payments, please call us and talk to us about your situation. If you keep us informed and make an effort to make regular affordable payments, it is unlikely that you would be sent to a debt collector. On the other hand, if you don’t answer our calls and go “underground”, then you would leave us no option but to send you to the debt collector. You are in control.
Is your cash loan the same as a PayDay Advance or Payday loan?
Our short term unsecured personal cash loan is similar to what is generally referred to as a Payday Loan or Payday Advance. Every finance company will have their own terms and conditions, however we think you’ll find our loans are better than others available in the market. Our loans are easy to understand, our fees are reasonable & we are very easy to deal with.
Can I pay by cash?
Yes – you can make a cash payment at any one of our branches.
